Dead to Sin Alive in Christ
In Romans chapter six, the Apostle Paul transitions from justification to sanctification. He reveals there are two types of sanctification, positional and progressive. Positional sanctification happens when we are justified by God and declared holy or set apart from the world and belonging to God.  Progressive sanctification is a an ongoing work in the life of a believer where we learn to obey the Holy Spirit inside of us and live out the internal reality of being holy.  In this message, we look at Romans 6:1-11 and Paul's explanation of positional sanctification and its importance to believers.

    Justified By Faith
In Romans chapter four, the Apostle Paul continues his declaration of justification by faith by giving two examples of celebrated Jewish patriarchs, Abraham and David.  Both men were justified by faith alone; one before the law and the other after the law.  Paul explains Abraham's faith in God, despite he and Sarah's age, was based on his belief God was one "who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did."

    No Exemptions
In Chapter 2 of Romans, the Apostle Paul addresses the self righteousness of man, which is man's desire to judge those around him while considering himself "moral" or "good."  In verses 1 through 16, Paul defines the principles God uses as He judges mankind.  These principles show us that no one is exempt from God's judgement and the resulting wrath apart from Christ.
