Anything, good or bad, we elevate to God’s level is worthless in comparison to Him. He alone should sit upon the throne of our hearts. Yet, we are easily distracted by many things each day and rarely realize they are attempting to usurp His rightful place as Lord of our lives. It is time for many of us to ask God to “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way” (Psalm 119:37).
