The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." If Christ is the Lord of your life, you do not have to walk in condemnation. He has forgiven you and will never remember your sin against you again.

The Hebrew word for broken in Psalm 34:18 is better understood as destroyed. Like a ship being torn in two from bow to stern rendering it decimated and sinking. This type of brokenness leaves one without hope, helpless, and maybe even considering death as the only way out. The good news of our Lord, is that He "is near to those who have a broken heart." If you have accepted Christ, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you and according to Romans 8:26, 27, "He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

Anything, good or bad, we elevate to God's level is worthless in comparison to Him. He alone should sit upon the throne of our hearts. Yet, we are easily distracted by many things each day and rarely realize they are attempting to usurp His rightful place as Lord of our lives. It is time for many of us to ask God to "Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way" (Psalm 119:37).
