Sometimes no matter how many people may be around us, we still feel unexplainably lonely. Surrounded by our family and friends, we feel hopeless, helpless, and alone. Our Heavenly Father wants us to have an abundant life filled with peace and joy, but our circumstances and pain drown out His voice and presence. It’s in these times that we must do as the old Hymn says,

 

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of his glory and grace.”
