I AM the Bread of Life
By: Curtis Crawford
Series: I AM
Even after Jesus miraculously fed 20,000 people with five loaves and two fish, the crowd still sought a sign from Him. They were so focused on the temporary fulfillment found in this life they could not see that God was standing right in front of them. Jesus reveals to them He is the bread of life, the true manna from heaven, Whom they must believe in to have everlasting spiritual fulfillment. Simply trust in Him and they could have eternal life. How many in the world today are so focused upon the temporal needs of now that they cannot see the answer to their emptiness is spiritual and not material?

And while the peace of God is available to every believer, we must keep our eyes centered upon Him because His peace comes to the heart of those who trust Him.

The breastplate of righteousness is God’s seal of approval upon a believer. When we accept Christ through faith, God approves of us because He approved His Son. As a result we should live our lives to please God. By living a holy life we prevent Satan’s success because we are focused upon God and His standard; we are living set apart! What better way to thwart the attacks of the enemy then to not give him a foothold in our lives to begin with?
