A Blessed Life
Series: general
Psalm 1:1-4 - How happy is the one who does not walk in the advice of the wicked or stand in the pathway with sinners or sit in the company of mockers! 2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. 4 The wicked are not like this; instead, they are like chaff that the wind blows away.

    Alone In The Crowd
    Series: general
Sometimes no matter how many people may be around us, we still feel unexplainably lonely. Surrounded by our family and friends, we feel hopeless, helpless, and alone. Our Heavenly Father wants us to have an abundant life filled with peace and joy, but our circumstances and pain drown out His voice and presence. It's in these times that we must do as the old Hymn says,

    "Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace."

Matthew 25:14-19 - “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

Psalm 63:1, 2 - O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. 2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.

    Beware False Teachers
    Series: general
2 Corinthians 11:1-4 - Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with me. For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

    Sharing The Gospel

Colossians 4:2-6 - Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.  Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

    Holiness Defined
    Series: general
Leviticus 11:45 states, "For I am the Lord who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." The Apostle Peter quotes from this passage in 1 Peter 1:16 where he writes, "because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy.'" The question for us today is, what then does it mean to be holy?

This the question our young men's leader, Bill Crawford, will answer in today's message.
